- Mark Kilgard
Mark J. Kilgard is a graphics software engineer working at NVIDIA. Mark has written two books "OpenGL for the X Window System" (1996) and "The Cg Tutorial" (2003), co-authored with Randima Fernando. While at Silicon Graphics Inc. Mark authored the OpenGL Utility Toolkit, better known as GLUT, to make it easy to write OpenGL-based 3D examples and demos, the primary reason for this was the lack of a windowing and input API with OpenGL using GLX.

- Dan Farmer
Dan Farmer (born April 5, 1962) is a computer security researcher. In a summer course in 1989, in order to graduate from Purdue University he started the development of the COPS program for identifying security issues on Unix systems under Gene Spafford, first releasing it after leaving Purdue in late 1989. In 1995, he and Wietse Venema created Security Administrator Tool for Analyzing Networks (SATAN), one of the earliest network based vulnerability scanners.

Richard Belluzzo (often known as Rick Belluzzo) is a US businessman who worked as an executive at HP (executive vice president), SGI (as CEO), and Microsoft (as president and COO at one point) before becoming CEO of Quantum Corp. in 2002. Much of his career is clouded in controversy and many consider him to be responsible for the demise of SGI.

Dr. James H. Clark (born 1944) is a prolific entrepreneur and former computer scientist. He founded several notable Silicon Valley technology companies, including Silicon Graphics, Inc., Netscape Communications Corporation, myCFO and Healtheon. His research work in computer graphics led to the development of systems for fast rendering of computer images. He is also a devoted sailor and the owner of several high-tech sailboats that he has helped to design.

Jon "maddog" Hall is the Executive Director of Linux International, a non-profit organization of computer vendors who wish to support and promote Linux based operating systems. The nickname "maddog" was given to him by his students at Hartford State Technical College, where he was the Department Head of Computer Science. He now prefers to be called by this name.

- Maynard Sonntag
Maynard Sonntag is the current Minister of Crown Investments Corporation and First Nations and Metis Relations in the government of Saskatchewan and MLA for Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. He was raised and educated in Goodsoil, Saskatchewan. Prior to being elected, Sonntag was a manager in the Credit Union system from 1980-1991. Sonntag was first elected to the Legislature in 1991 and was re-elected in 1995, 1999 and 2003.

David E. Orton is currently the CEO of ATI Technologies. He joined ATI as a result of an acquisition of ArtX, a high-tech SME, in April 2000, where he was President and CEO. Prior to ArtX he worked at SGI where he spent almost 10 years as Senior Vice President of the Visual Computing Department. He also worked in the graphics and semiconductor industry as an engineer at General Electric and Bell Laboratories.

Michael Toy is a computer programmer. He was one of the developers of the 1980s dungeon-crawling computer game Rogue. He later became an employee of SGI and followed its founder Jim Clark when he left to form Netscape. Following his time there, Toy joined Mitch Kapor's OSAF organization in 2003, becoming the first software development manager for the Chandler project.
- Stephen R. Bourne
Steve Bourne is a computer scientist, most famous as the author of the Bourne shell (<code>sh</code>), which is the foundation for the standard command line interfaces to Unix. Bourne has a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from King's College London. He has a Diploma (Master's) and Ph.D. in mathematics from Trinity College, Cambridge. Subsequently he worked on an ALGOL 68 compiler at the Cambridge University Computer Laboratory (see ALGOL 68C).
