    John Robert Williamson AM (born 1 November 1945 in Quambatook, Victoria) is an Australian country music singer-songwriter. Williamson was raised in the Mallee district of northwestern Victoria. In 1965, his family moved to Croppa Creek, near Moree, New South Wales, where John began performing at a local restaurant. Throughout his career, John Williamson has released over 32 albums, 10 videos, 5 DVDs, and 2 books of lyrics.

    Margaret Jackson is Chairman of FlexiGroup Limited and a director of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Billabong International Limited and Florey Neuroscience Institutes. Before beginning her career as a full time company director in 1992, she was a partner of KPMG Peat Marwick's Management Consulting Division. Ms Jackson holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University and completed an MBA with distinction at Melbourne University.

    John Guy (born 1949 in Warragul, Australia) is a leading British historian and biographer. Born in Australia, he moved to Britain with his parents in 1952. He was educated at King Edward VII School in Lytham, and Clare College, Cambridge, where he read History, taking a First. At Cambridge, Guy studied under the Tudor specialist Geoffrey Rudolph Elton. He was awarded a Greene Cup by Clare College and the Yorke Prize by the University of Cambridge.

  5. Mark Ridgway

    Mark William Ridgway (born May 21, 1960, Warragul, Victoria) is a former Australian Cricket player, who played for the Tasmanian Tigers from 1993 until 2000. After failing to break into the Victorian Bushrangers, he moved to Tasmania, where he became a regular in the Tiger's line-up. A reliable faster-than-medium bowler, he was able to generate strong swing, particularly outswing, and made good use of the Derwent River's strong sea breezes to move the ball with good effect.

  6. Henry Howard

    Henry Howard, Australian Methodist minister. Howard was born in Melbourne, the son of Henry Howard and his wife Mary. His people were in comparatively poor circumstances, and Howard at first received only a primary education. When a youth he tried to speak at a church meeting and completely broke down. Next day he told the Rev. Dr Dare, the chairman of the meeting, that in view of his failure, he had resolved never to attempt public speaking again.

  7. Peter Landy

    Peter Landy is an Australian television presenter. Beginning his career in the early 1960s - after attending the Jesuit Xavier College - he started with Radio 3UL, Warragul co-ordinating horse racing and football broadcasts. He later moved to 3UZ Melbourne reporting and presenting news. In 1967 he moved to 3AK and also began with TV station Channel 9. In 1971 he moved to Seven Network Melbourne sport reporting.
