  1. Charles Loring Brace

    Charles Loring Brace (19 June, 1826 in Litchfield, Connecticut - 11 August, 1890) was a contributing philanthropists in the field of social reform. Brace graduated from Yale in 1846 and then went on to study divinity and theology at Yale but left to study at the more liberal Union Theological Seminary, from which he graduated in 1849. He was also drawn to New York because it was viewed as the hotbed of American Protestantism and social activity.

    Jonathan Brace (November 12, 1754 - August 26, 1837) was a United States Representative from Connecticut. He was born in Harwinton, Connecticut. He was graduated from Yale College in 1779. He then studied law and was admitted to the bar in Bennington, Vermont in 1779 and commenced practice in Pawlet, Vermont. He moved to Manchester, Vermont in 1782 and continued the practice of law.

    Stewart Brace (born Taunton Somerset, September 21 1942) was a professional footballer with Watford. He signed in 1965 and played 16 games before moving to Mansfield and later Peterborough United, Grimsby Town (205 league games) and Southend United. Correct spelling is Stuart Brace and he signed firstly for Plymouth Argyle in 1960 then to Watford.

    Stephen ("Steve" or "Steven") Brace (born July 7, 1961) is a former long-distance runner from Wales, who represented the United Kingdom in the men's marathon at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. He finished in 27th (2:17:49) and in 60th (2:23.28) place respectively. Brace twice triumphed at the Paris Marathon: in 1989 and 1990.
