He first came to WTC in 1996 but left for one year to pursue another job. He returned in 1998 after realizing there was no better program assisting young men with addiction. He has worked at Hazelden Center for Youth and Families and Way 12 Half Way House.

    Dr. Lawrence M. Sideman , Argosy University Faculty Representative - is licensed in the State of Arizona as a Psychologist, a Professional Counselor (LPC), and as an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC). He is currently an Associate Professor of clinical psychology at Argosy University/Phoenix and maintains an independent practice in Phoenix.

    Mr. Glover served as Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan College in New York, New York. Mr. Glover has taught instruction such as Interviewing and Counseling, Legal and Ethical Issues in Counseling, Counseling Techniques, and Social, Political, and Economic Aspects of Service Delivery Systems. Mark hails from Upstate New York and moved to Montana to pursue his career at WTC.

    Dr. Jim Viola has practiced actively as a Licensed Professional Counselor for over twenty years, including serving as Program Director for two outpatient programs and Clinical Director for an inpatient program.

  19. Phyllis Laughlin

    Phyllis Laughlin, MA, LPC, Clinical Director of Adoptive Parent Services: Phyllis has been with The Cradle since 2000, first as an Adoptive Parent Counselor and now as Clinical Director of Adoptive Parent Services. She supervises a staff of counselors, facilitates training sessions, and works with adoptive parents as they go through the home study process and accept placement. She is involved with the adoption of international, domestic, and special-needs infants and children.

    Helena O’Neal Helena O’Neal (2004,2005) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 30 years experience in the mental health field. Clinical Director of the Adult Psychiatric Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, she also has a private counseling practice with a focus of women’s issues and addiction. Helena is married and has two sons, a daughter-in-law and a four-year old grandson.

    Carolann Roberts joined Chattanooga State in 2000. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Psychology, Cum Laude, in 1982, and with an M.S. in Clinical Psychology in 1984. She is licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner and as a Professional Counselor. She also holds certification from the National Board of Certified Counselors.

  39. Kathleen Benecke

    Kathleen Benecke began her career as a pediatric nurse in Austin, Texas, eventually focusing on pediatric oncology, and became a co-founder of the Austin Children's Cancer Center. In 1987 she and her husband served briefly as volunteers on a pediatric medical team in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. After settling in Hawaii, she segued into hospice nursing in which she was employed for nine years in both Honolulu and Santa Fe.

  40. Kerry Beck

    Kerry Beck , Vice President beck@becket.org Kerry Beck serves as the Vice President and Executive Director at the Becket Family of Services. Since 2000, he has also been a Clinical Associate at the Dartmouth Medical School Department of Psychiatry. Kerry began working with at risk youth in 1994 as a Residential Counselor at the Becket School. Since that time, he has worked as a Treatment Coordinator, Clinical Director and Director of Pupil Personnel Services.
