Maureen O'Connell is the current County Clerk of Nassau County, New York (since January 1 2006). Prior to being elected to the Office of County Clerk, Ms. O'Connell served the constituents of the 17th District of the New York State Assembly. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Mayor of the Village of East Williston. Ms. O'Connell is a registered nurse, and resides with her husband and children in East Williston.

He was the first Puerto Rican to be elected to these posts (and run for mayor) in the United States (outside of Puerto Rico). When Badillo was 11 years old, both of his parents died of tuberculosis and he was sent to live with his aunt in New York City.

Leidesdorf, an internally known accountant, was born on September 25, 1881 in New York City. He attended the New York School of Accounting and Pace College. In 1905, he began his own accounting firm, S.D. Leidesdorf & Co., certified public accountants, which grew and eventually became one of the largest accounting firms in the nation.

I moved to the city to live somewhere with a lot more diversity and to meet others with interests I have yet to discover. I'm sarcastic, laid-back and low-drama. I like trying out new restaurants and I'm definately of fan of brunch on the weekends. I can appreciate and enjoy walking through a museum but I don't make it a point to do so. I like movies but not in the theatres and I really need to make more of an effort to take advantage of the Broadway shows.

I'm a nice, down-to-earth Valley Boy (that's the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles), who moved to New York 7.5 years ago. I'm shy at first but then open up once I get to know someone better. I'm very serious at work, but very easy-going outside of work. I'm funny (with my words, not face), and have a warm personality. My favorite subjects in school were math and foreign languages. To stay fit, I work out at the gym.
