After the 1997 publication of "The Cathedral and the Bazaar", Raymond became a high-profile representative of the open source movement, and is today one of its most recognized and controversial characters.

Not just on first meeting me, but sometimes years after. They'll say something along the lines of 'damn you're huge' for no reason at all... I don't go around telling people how tiny they are... well, ok... sometimes... but usually after they can't reach something.

    I'm a laid back but I'm about business, strong minded and creative. Forgive me but I have no time to waste on immature or deceitful people. Everyday I strive to be a better man, but times are hard. I try my best not to let all the bullshit bother me, but I do have a temper. Though you may rarely see it. I do what I can to benefit to, and from, those who I call my friends. Loyalty is key, if you don't have it then you have nothing.

    Hey my name is Evan Suggs. I race sprint cars and major in mechanical engineering at San Jose State. Schools cool but hard and time consuming. Sprint Cars are pretty much my life. I love racing them, working on them, watching them, etc etc. I am pretty laid back but you can't intimidate me on the track. I also can't stand when people are so in love with something stupid and they don't even know why.

    Well a lot is different now. I just bought my first house in March. It is still a work in progress!! But it is coming along ... slowly but surely. It's definately a little frusterating that I can't do everything I want to do, not all at one time anyway. Hailey is getting so big now. She has started school now and I just can't believe how fast she is growing. She will have a little brother in October/November.

    Maureen Edwards Senior User/HR Director - NHS Electronic Staff Record Maureen joined the ESR Programme Board as Senior User/HR Director in January 2005. She represents the interests of ESR Users on the Project, leading on user involvement and support. Maureen joined the NHS in 1987. She held senior posts in East Yorkshire before moving to Northern and Yorkshire Regional Office in 2000 as Head of External HR.

    Dr. Simon Willcock Programme Director - NHS Electronic Staff Record Simon was appointed as Programme Director in October 2007. He has been involved with ESR since December 2001, initially as Technical Project Manager, then later as Programme Manager. Simon has over 15 years experience in IT project and programme management. Simon's recent experience has been leading large-scale international IT projects with Visa and Reuters.

  17. Simon Fletcher

    Simon Fletcher Simon is Head of National Initiatives on the project. He has been in NHS management since 1988 holding a number of posts including Payroll Services Manager at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital NHS Trust. Simon was a member of the Steering Group for the procurement of ESR and was part of the NHS/DH contract negotiation team. Simon and his team represent the needs and requirements of the NHS Community in the design and ongoing development of the ESR Solution.

    Marty, who recently completed Indiana University’s Masters program in Philanthropic Studies, has more than a decade of experience as a development professional in the arts, health care, and higher education. Most recently, he served as the founding Executive Director of the St.Vincent Randolph Hospital Foundation in Winchester, Indiana, where he was responsible for board recruitment, policy development, strategic planning, grant proposals and communications materials.

    Dr John Hay , PhD Chief Executive Officer Kenepuru Science Centre Dr Hay, who holds a PhD from Lincoln University/University College of Wales in plant population genetics, brings to ESR many years of both science research and management experience.

    Christin Tellefsen is Director, International Assignments at ESR USA and divides her time between the Los Angeles and London offices to supervise global assignments. Christin has been with ESR since its inception in 1997 and co-founded ESR's US operations in 2001 along with Christian Schoyen.

    Dr Val Orchard , PhD Strategic Manager, Science & Research Kenepuru Science Centre Val is part of ESR's Strategic Leadership Team. A priority for Val is to increase science research funding for ESR. She assists scientists in bid preparation and ensures quality and timely delivery of research projects.
