    Vern Leroy Bullough was an American historian and sexologist.     Jack Dangermond is the co-founder and president of ESRI, a privately-held Geographic Information Systems software company that is headquartered in Redlands, California. In 1969, he co-founded ESRI with his wife, Laura. Originally, the company concentrated on land use analysis, but increasingly focused on developing GIS software. ESRI became a leader in the GIS industry during the 1980s and continues to dominate.

  4. Edmund Ezra Day

    Edmund Ezra Day (December 7, 1883-March 23, 1951) was a U.S. educator. Day received his undergraduate and masters degree from Dartmouth College and his doctorate in economics from Harvard. He went on to serve as the fifth president of Cornell University from 1937 to 1949. While in office, he helped establish School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell. The administrative building at Cornell, Day Hall, is named after Edmund Ezra Day.

    Molefi Kete Asante is a professor of African American studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to being a teacher and noted scholar, he is also a prolific author, poet, dramatist, painter, and in 1995, was made a traditional king of Tafo, Akyem, Ghana. Asante assumed the chair of African American studies at Temple University in 1984, and created Temple's first Ph.D. program in African American studies in 1987.

  6. Ezra Loomis Pound

    Ezra Pound was born on October 30, 1885 in the small mining town of Hailey, Idaho . He had an average middle-class childhood in Wyncote, Philadelphia , where his father held the position of assistant assayer for the United States Mint . Pound left high school, and attended the University of Pennsylvania , where he befriended another notable poet of the twentieth century, William Carlos Williams , who was studying medicine at the time.
