"Don't be afraid to play" was the motto at the retail store I owned in Missoula, MT from 1997-8, named Delta's Venus. I suppose it's a life motto by now. Mischeivious, independent, ecclectic, arty...all adjectives for me or that store. The name was inspired by Anais Nin's erotic short fiction collection, Delta of Venus. As a grad student and Lecturer in French (and now Spanish), I derive a lot of inspiration from literary, filmic and theatrical texts.
