    Alan Christopher Smith (born October 25, 1936 in Hall Green, Birmingham, Warwickshire) is a former England Test cricketer. He made his mark as a batsman, a bowler but primarily as a wicket-keeper. He succeeded M. J. K. Smith, to whom he was unrelated, as County Captain. He once achieved the very rare feat of taking a hat-trick as bowler in a first-class match in which he had been selected as a wicket-keeper.

He is England's all-time highest wicket taker in one-day internationals with 234, and took 229 wickets in his 58 Test matches, making him England's ninth most successful wicket taker. Gough is a right arm fast medium bowler and right handed batsman.

  8. Bob Woolmer

    Robert Andrew Woolmer was an international cricketer, professional cricket coach and also a professional commentator. He played in 19 Test matches and 6 One-day Internationals for England and later coached South Africa, Warwickshire and Pakistan. On 18 March 2007, Woolmer died suddenly in Jamaica, just a few hours after the Pakistan team's unexpected elimination at the hands of Ireland in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

    John "Bunny" Daly was a former Australian rules footballer prominent in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) during it's developmental years between 1887 and 1903. Daly played his first match for Norwood as a 17 year old in 1887, in a holiday exhibition match against Port Adelaide. In front of 15,000 spectators the debutant displayed an exciting running, dodging type of game for which he would become famous.

    Just Fontaine is a former French football player. He holds the record for most goals scored in a single FIFA World Cup finals tournament, with thirteen in 1958. He has also scored the third most goals of any player in the world cup finals overall, beaten only by: Gerd Müller who scored fourteen goals (in two World Cup tournaments) and Ronaldo who scored fifteen goals (in four World Cup tournaments, though he only played in three).

    Christopher Timothy Tremlett (born 2 September 1981 in Southampton, Hampshire) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club. He is 6 ft 7 in (2.05 m) tall. Tremlett took a wicket with his first ball in first-class cricket against New Zealand A in 2000, dismissing Mark Richardson. He went to India with the Under-19s in 2000/01, and was one of the first cricketers to attend the ECB Academy the following year.

    Alok Kapali (born January 1, 1984 in Sylhet) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He is an allrounder who bats in the middle to lower order and bowls leg spin with a run-up (walk up) similar to that of Shane Warne. Kapali made his Test debut in 2002, against Sri Lanka at Colombo. He took 2 wickets, Michael Vandort and Upul Chandana as well as making 39 and 23 with the bat.     Peter Douglas Parker, (born 20 July 1959 in Herston, Queensland), is an Australian Test cricket match umpire. He umpired six Test matches between 1993 and 2000. His first match was between Australia and New Zealand at Brisbane on 3 December to 7 December 1993, won by Australia by an innings and 96 runs, with Allan Border and Steve Waugh scoring centuries, and Shane Warne and Craig McDermott taking 8 and 6 wickets respectively.     Paul Stewart (born 7 October, 1964 in Manchester) is an English former professional footballer who played for the full England side. Stewart started his career as an apprentice with Blackpool, turning professional in October 1981. He made his debut for the Seasiders as a substitute for Dave Bamber in a home draw with Rochdale on February 10 1982. For the remainder of the season, he alternated between midfield and forward.

  21. Bert Patenaude

    Bertrand "Bert" A. Patenaude (November 4 1909, Fall River, Massachusetts - November 4 1974, Fall River, Massachusetts) was an American football player. Although earlier disputed, he is now officially credited by FIFA as the scorer of the first hat-trick in World Cup history. He is a member of the United States Soccer Hall of Fame. Patenaude's historic day came on July 17 1930, as the United States played Paraguay in the inaugural World Cup. Bert scored in the 10th minute.

  24. Jimmy Smith

    James "Jimmy" Smith (born 24 September, 1911 in Airdrie) was a Scottish professional footballer who played for East Stirlingshire and Rangers. During his time at Rangers he scored 249 goals in 259 games. Smith moved from East Stirlingshire to Rangers in 1928 and made his debut against Hamilton Academical in March 1929. He only featured twice in his first season at Ibrox and only played once the following season, and scored in a 3-1 win against Dundee.
