  1. Henry Livingston Jr.

    Major Henry Livingston Jr. (1748 - 1828) was born into a prominent family in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States. His father was from Scotland and his mother from Holland. His grandfather was Gilbert Livingston son of Robert Livingston the Elder. A brother was John Henry Livingston. He married in 1774 to Sarah (or Sally) Wells. A year later, right after his first child (Catherine) was born, he joined the American Revolution.

  2. Alexander Livingston 5th Lord Livingston

    Alexander Livingston, 5th Lord Livingston of Callendar (c.1500 - 1553) was the guardian of Mary I of Scotland during her childhood. Alexander Livingston succeeded his father to the title of Lord Livingston in about 1518. His first wife was Janet Stewart. After her death, he married Agnes Douglas, daughter of John Douglas, 2nd Earl of Morton, and by her he had eight children. Lord Livingston became Queen Mary's guardian in about 1543.

  3. Philip Livingston

    Philip Livingston (January 15, 1716 - June 12, 1778), was an American merchant and statesman from New York City. He was a delegate for New York to the Continental Congress from 1775 to 1778, and signed the Declaration of Independence. He was born in Albany, New York into the prominent Livingston family. His grandfather, who had immigrated to New York and controlled the large grant called "Livingston Manor", was known as Robert, 1st Lord of the Manor.

  4. Robert Livingston

    Robert Livingston was the third Lord of Livingston Manor. He was son of Philip Livingston (1686-1749), and the grandson of both Robert Livingston the Elder and two-time Mayor of Albany, New York, Pieter Van Brugh. He was a member of the assembly for the manor from 1737 to 1758. Upon his death in 1790, Livingston Manor was divided among his four younger sons and the children of his eldest son, Peter R. Livingston, of whom he disapproved.

    The Reverend John Henry Livingston (1746 near Poughkeepsie, New York - 25 January 1825) was the fourth President of Queen's College (now Rutgers University) serving from 1810 until his death in 1825. Reverend Livingston was graduated from Yale College with a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) in 1762. He earned a Doctor of Theology from the University of Utrecht and was ordained into the ministry by the Classis of Amsterdam in 1770.
