Her book The Road to Innocence , by Somaly Mam , will be published in 2006, by Virago. She says: "I've written this book because I know that I will be killed and I don't want to go without leaving a trace." At great risk to her own life, one woman takes on the illegal sex trade in Cambodia. In spite of being the target of death threats, Somaly Mam has not relinquished her campaign against the spread and causes of child prostitution and slavery in her home country of Cambodia.

He is an architect and an engineer, what indeed influences his way of designing bridges, public spaces, and buildings. Maximón is a saint worshipped in various forms by Maya people of several towns in the highlands of Western Guatemala. The origins of his cult are not very well understood by outsiders to the different Mayan religions, but he is believed to be a form of the pre-Colombian Maya god Mam, blended with influences from Catholicism. Maximón may also be called San Simón. Originally, he was believed to be a catholic priest who had looked after aboriginals during early 1600s.

Kayb'il B'alam (alternatively written Kaibil Balam, translates as "Twenty Jaguar") was a 16th-century leader of the Maya Mam people in the southern highlands of Guatemala. During the time of the Spanish invasion, the Mam population was mainly situated in Xinabahul (Now modern-day Huehuetenango). However, due to the Spanish conquest, the tribe returned to its stone fortifications of Zaculeu for protection.
