  1. Tony Pastor

    Antonio Pastor (May 28, 1837-August 26, 1908) was a variety performer and theatre owner who became one of the founding forces behind American vaudeville in the mid-to-late nineteenth century. The strongest elements of his entertainments were an almost jingoistic brand of United States patriotism and a strong commitment to attracting a mixed-gender audience, the latter being something revolutionary in the male-oriented variety halls of the mid-century.

  2. Amy Wynn Pastor

    Amy Wynn Pastor (born May 9, 1976 in Philadelphia, PA) is best known as a carpenter on the TLC reality shows "Trading Spaces" and "Trading Spaces: Family Edition". Pastor is the younger daughter of a professional trombone player and a teacher and grew up in a Conservative Jewish family in Philadelphia. She was in several television commercials as a child and majored in theater at Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1999.

  4. Robert Pastor

    Robert Pastor was the United States national security advisor on Latin America and the Caribbean under President Jimmy Carter. Pastor was nominated by President Bill Clinton in 1994 to serve as the Ambassador to Panama. However, President Clinton withdrew his nomination when he was brought under fire during his confirmation hearing for overseeing the return of the Panama Canal to the Panamians during his term under Carter.

    Antonius ("Toon") Franciscus Pastor (born January 10, 1929 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland) is a former boxer from the Netherlands, who competed for his native country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. There he lost on points (1-2) in the quarterfinals of the Men's Light Heavyweight (81 kg) division to Karl Kistner of Germany.

  6. Paco Cabanes Pastor

    Paco Cabanes Pastor is a retired professional Valencian pilota player known by his town's name, Genovés I, and who has begun a "pilotaris" saga with his son, "Genovés II". At the EHESS in Paris, he works mainly on the ontology of artworks and of cultural artefacts in general.

    Last week, the city of Lynchburg, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the entire country lost one of our dearest sons in the passing of Rev. Falwell. Today Dr. Falwell was laid to rest. I am sad that business here in Washington kept many of us from being able to attend today's services, but since we were unable to attend, we have joined here tonight to pay homage to this great leader. Dr. Falwell's legacy is one that will not soon be forgotten.

  23. Dietrich Bonhoeffer

    Dietrich Bonhoeffer (February 4, 1906 - April 9, 1945) was a German Lutheran pastor, theologian, participant in the German Resistance movement against Nazism, and a founding member of the Confessing Church. He was involved in plots planned by members of the Abwehr (the German Military Intelligence Office) to assassinate Adolf Hitler. He was arrested in March 1943, imprisoned, and eventually hanged just before the end of the World War II in Europe.
