Test Pilot and Engineer Robert M. Stanley (1912 - 1977) became the first American to fly a jet aircraft on October 2, 1942, as a civilian test pilot for Bell Aircraft. He flew the Bell XP-59A Airacomet, which was the United States' first turbojet aircraft. The flight took place at Muroc Dry Lake, California.

Sallie Hunt As the State of West Virginia’s Chief Privacy Officer, Sallie Hunt is responsible for facilitating the Executive Branch’s implementation and compliance with privacy principles and 20 federal and state privacy laws. Ms. Hunt also serves as the Legal Working Group Chair for the West Virginia Health Information Security and Privacy Collaborative and is staffing the West Virginia Health Information Network Board on an interim basis.

Philip R. Zimmermann , creator PGP and Zfone Philip R. Zimmermann is an encryption guru. He recently published Zfone, VoIP encryption freeware. Phil is also the creator of Pretty Good Privacy, email encryption software. For that, he was the target of a three-year criminal investigation, because the government held that US export restrictions for cryptographic software were violated when PGP spread all around the world following its 1991 publication as freeware.
